In the depths of a British winter, anyone can be forgiven for dreaming of sunshine, sandy beaches and warmth. When it’s blowing a gale and minus-temperatures outside, it might be difficult to imagine that sunny weather isn’t ever that far away. And we don’t mean the coming of spring!
From November to March, you can still experience exquisite weather in just a few hours’ flight time. No need to wait until May before packing away those winter woollens – you could potentially be on a beach in blazing sunshine, for around the same time as it would take to travel from the north to the south of England by train.
The added bonus? Such a holiday won’t break the bank either. Out of season, flights and hotels are often much cheaper than their equivalent prices in the summer months. You’ll also have more room to wander, and no problem finding a restaurant table. You often find that the locals lower their prices out of season too.
Here’s where you can feel the sun just when you need it most…
